（1） Installation position

1. The pump should be installed as close to the water source as possible to reduce the suction head and shorten the length of the suction pipe

2. The pump room should be in a bright, dry and clean place for maintenance and inspection; in addition, the space required for disassembly and inspection must be reserved.

Especially in the case of multiple pumps, the mutual spacing and arrangement should be fully studied.

3. In consideration of flood control, the top surface of the installation foundation should be made higher than the flood level;

Or choose the vertical shaft pump in the pool; or only set the power machine and electrical equipment in a safe position,

4. The measuring instrument should be arranged at the place easy to see during starting operation.

5. For the deep well submersible pump, the suction port of the pump is installed on the upper part of the inner filter screen to avoid absorbing sediment.

6. Submersible electric pump on working face. The motor is limited to operate when it is exposed to the water; there are also those with given minimum starting water level and operating water level limit,

Therefore, great attention should be paid to the installation height. In addition, the upper part of the pump should be set with lifting hole

（2） Foundation

1. In order to absorb the vibration and firmly support the pump frame, the pump foundation should have sufficient strength and size.

2. The weight of the foundation itself: for the motor direct connection type, it is more than 3 times of the mechanical weight; for the engine direct connection type, it is more than 5 times of the mechanical weight^

3. In the case of weak foundation, wood pile or concrete pile shall be used for foundation treatment

4. When the power machine and pump are directly connected or driven with gears, the integral foundation must be used.

5. For the belt driven pump device, when the pump and power machine are respectively set with foundation, it is necessary to prevent sliding or overturning of the foundation due to the tension of the belt.

6. During the freezing period in winter, the bearing capacity of foundation surface should be reduced if it is frozen. Therefore, the buried depth of the foundation is deeper than that of the frozen soil,

7. When the second floor slab is used as the foundation, attention should be paid to make the center of the foundation consistent with the center of the beam, or make it span on two beams, and as close as possible to the wall of the building

8. Install the pump after the foundation concrete is fully hardened for about two weeks

There is a gap of 10 to 30 mm between the pump frame and the foundation concrete

At the same time, the upper part of the foundation concrete need not be troweled, and the uneven surface shall be left as it is.

10. The hole of anchor bolt should be square hole with enough size.
