According to the statistics of chlor alkali industry, China produced 4.1 million tons of PVC last year and imported 200 tons. According to the forecast of the industry, the national demand will reach 8 million tons in 2005, and 15 million tons in 2010. It is precisely because of the rapid increase in demand that the enterprises in the chlor alkali industry in China will be transformed and expanded, and many new enterprises have been established in the past one or two years.
