Bearing plays an important role in the structure of water ring vacuum pump. Bearing damage has a bad effect on the performance of water ring vacuum pump.

l) Valve plate broken

When a valve plate breaks, the pressure on both sides of the impeller will be unbalanced, and the rotor will produce axial force, which will increase the load of the ball bearing, and long-term operation will cause the bearing temperature to rise. When two valve plates are broken, the fracture position is not exactly the same, the pressure on both sides of the impeller is also a little unbalanced, the axial force will be reduced compared with that of one valve plate, and the bearing temperature will be decreased, but still higher. When this phenomenon occurs, the valve plate must be replaced in time.

2) Shaft end seal failure

When the shaft end sealing packing is damaged or the sealing water channel is blocked, air will be sucked into the water ring pump through the gap between the packing and the shaft sleeve, which will affect the suction and exhaust performance of the water ring pump. If the unilateral seal fails, the pressure on both sides of the impeller will be unbalanced, the rotor will produce axial force, and the ball bearing will be heated due to the increased load. When one side seal fails, the temperature of the two inlet pipelines is not equal, but it is more obvious than the valve plate fracture. In operation, it is necessary to ensure good performance of packing seal and water seal. Generally, the leakage of sealing water is 5 ~ 10 drops / min.

3) Excessive preload of bearing

The adjustment of preload should not be too large, otherwise the clearance of bearing will be reduced or no clearance will be found, which will easily cause bearing heating.

4) Vibration effect

Generally, when the pump body and bearing vibration is large, the bearing temperature can return to normal after eliminating the vibration.

5) Improper lubrication

Too much or too small amount of grease, grease model does not match, grease used for a long time, deterioration and contamination of grease will cause bearing heating.

6) Bearing damage

Bearing roller and cage damage will be accompanied by bearing heating phenomenon, after damage should be replaced with a new bearing.
