Causes of broken shaft of vacuum pump

In the process of vacuum pump operation, shaft fracture sometimes occurs suddenly. On the surface, the shaft fracture occurs instantaneously, but in fact, it is the result of qualitative change due to the accumulation of quantitative change. So, what is the reason for the bearing fracture of the equipment? Maybe we will follow the manufacturer to understand it.

1. The main bearing and connecting rod bearing of vacuum pump have been ablated for many times, and the supporting force of the ablated part is weakened, so the radial runout of the shaft is frequent. In addition, the stress changes after the root ablation, so the fracture occurs between the shaft root and the arm.

2. If the clearance between adjacent main bearings is too large, especially the clearance between the last two main bearings and the first two main bearings is too large, there are flywheel behind the engine shaft and belt pulley in the front. If the force on both ends of the engine shaft is too heavy, the radial runout is frequent.

3. The main bearing is worn too much and loose for a long time, and the fracture occurs in the rear half of the engine shaft. This is also due to the frequent radial runout of the engine shaft, which leads to the fracture of the engine shaft.

4. The engine shaft end clearance is too large or the ablation is serious, and it moves forward and backward during operation.

5. The last main bearing ablation or bearing rolling will cause excessive runout at the rear of the engine shaft.

6. The bending of vacuum pump shaft is too large or not concentric, and the clearance allowance of main bearing is uneven, which hinders the rotation of the engine shaft. In addition, the uneven load before and after the engine shaft leads to frequent radial runout.

7. The thrust surface of the vacuum pump shaft end is located on the first main shaft, and the air compressor load is also on the engine shaft. When the air compressor load increases, it is easy to make the engine shaft ablation or loose and produce radial runout.

Due to the change of bearing support force and the change of spindle concentricity, the stress on the arm will be concentrated. In addition, the arm itself is thinner than the journal, and the shaft is easy to be broken. Therefore, the manufacturer reminds you that the above can be effectively avoided when using.
